Same trouble as everyone else. No wifi connection. No way to turn app on.

I have the same problem as everyone else. "Failed to connect." Followed directions exactly as written in the instructions. Found the Show Box wi Fi in my settings, but will not connect with my network. Made sure password was correct, but still get failed to connect error. This is a useless app until this is fixed. Must use line in for audio to make this work. I purchased the Show Box specifically because it is supposed to work with smartphone and wifi.

Just bought the system itself today and started playing with it immediately when I got home. The app is straight forward and I can simply search for a song and play it. The lights play in amazing rhythm to the songs of all types from punk to k-pop. Love this app! I was slightly worried with the low ratings but I havent had problems with it. All around amazing time with it so far.

I bought the shoebox last October 2014 worked perfect! Super easy to connect, and I cant wait to get my lights hung up outside for this season.

Didnt have any problem really connecting to wifi. But have some other annoying problems. The first thing is that cannot get the AirPlay to work for my iPad, try switching app from iPad to AirPlay from the app like the directions say but it does not ever switch. The second major problem that I have with the app is with the playlist that I have luckily managed to create is that the songs on the created list is that they may work the first time but after that I have nothing but problems. Some of the songs will play, other ones will not at all, and more annoyingly some of the songs will play over and over again even after trying to skip them. Please fix soon and buy that I mean before Christmas rolls around.

I wasted my money on this. Will not connect. Even if you use the ShowBox connection on your wifi options, it doesnt recognize the connection. Dont buy this. Youll be disappointed.

The box will not connect to wifi. The rest of it works fine as it allows your light to move, chase etc but you cannot stream music to it. Have search for a fix but cant find one. I wouldnt purchase until they fix the problem.

I have same problem with wi fi as others mentioned. When it is connected it shows 79 songs as my music, These are part of my library but I didnt pick them. Unable to choose Christmas songs or alter these selected songs. Have deleted app and reinstalled and problem persist. Waste of my time!

I never leave reviews but i left one a week or so ago saying that i loved my show box from last Christmas season. I finally took it out from the attic connected a few strands just to see if it still worked. Since i originally downloaded this app last christmas i had to update and boy was i in for a suprise. I took a few tries to sync to my wifi but when i did Omg this works with Radio stations now im in love!!!!!!!!! You have really tweaked my show box Thank You!!!!! Sooooo much better then last year!

My show box will not connect either. Followed instructions with no success. Please fix this. It would be a game changer

Wish I hadnt waisted my money on this thing. The app is terrible and wont show me all my music

I finally hooked it up this thanksgiving weekend. It hooked perfectly to my wifi and it remembers the password and all info. No issues there. It works good. I wish it went to the beat of the music a little better. The only complaint is the three switches you can control are kind of pointless. It needs to let you turn on whatever switch you want to stay on and then slow the others to go to the music. Its either off or on when you switch the switches. Otherwise it sounds great and is a cool addition to the light scene.

Works great, but hate there is no way to schedule a daily start or stop time. Hate that I have to manually start each evening.

I finally got it connected. But cannot log in Pandora. Cannot AirPlay off anything but iTunes. Really annoyed with this. Seems like they got some good intentions but a lot of bugs.

I must admit I was pretty blown away after reading the poor reviews that I was able to setup and operate the show box outside on my porch from my 2nd story bedroom. No problems connecting to wifi or playing music from either iTunes or I <3 radio (only ones I tried). Timer function worked well; however, it could be better if it could be set to turn on/off at a certain time each day. I was also surprised the sound was pretty loud & quality was decent. I did have a little trouble with static & the connection with my iPhone using the aux cord supplied in the box but since the wifi worked out it isnt that big of an issue. I would probably upgrade that aux cord if I wasnt using the wifi.

Fix the Wi-Fi connection issue, otherwise this app is worthless

The updated app is a lot better than last year. It now has the ability to connect to your home wifi so you can stream to it as long as it is is range. The biggest problem as others have mentioned is that there is no way to turn the lights function on automatically. That is, if you want to turn on every day at 5:30 then you have to be home at that time to start it. Going in and out of range of the wifi causes some confusion on the app when restarted.

Same problem as everyone else...I can connect the alternate way, but then Im not on the network with my device. Its stupid to sell a product saying its app-tastic, and invest hours and hours into correct setup no success. Its unacceptable to publish an app with this many bugs especially when the customer has purchased hardware to use it. If I wrote this app I would be ashamed to put my name on it. In short, DO IT BETTER!

I wanted to love this product but the app is really buggy. You can’t log into Pandora the app is hard to navigate in. There needs to be some sensitivity controls The show box itself is not LED compatible, I can’t not recommend this product or the app at this time.
